Biomass
Drive Energy from organic matter

Interesting Fact

Biomass in its current application is also proved as very energy efficient (up to 70%) contrary to other fossil fuels (35-45%) efficient to the petroleum fuel it replaces.

Biomass

Biomass are organic matter that are produced from animals and plants and very integral part of the ecological system. The technique to process the biomass and use it industrially has always been under-estimated whereas, this can be one solution towards meeting the carbon emissions targets and a step closer to the healthier and sustainable environment.

Biomass is a renewable source of energy and even falls under sustainable and efficient way of producing heat and electricity. Being source of energy in its three forms; solid (wood pallets, straws), converted to liquid and added with ethanol etc to produce biofuel and to be used as biogas, which is extracted from landfill waste, biomass in its current application is also proved as very energy efficient (up to 70%) contrary to other fossil fuels (35-45%) efficient to the petroleum fuel it replaces. Solid biomass in form of straws and wood pallets is burnt in heating appliances and in Combined Heating and Power Plants to produce heat and electricity together. However, once the solid biomass is burnt, clean products are products including steam, biodiesel and biofuel.

Biofuel are clean; diversifies the energy supply; replaces fossils fuel causing global warming; have no sulphur oxide, very less nitrous and hence no acid rains to occur; helps reducing waste and very efficient way of producing energy. There are many advantages of using biomass as fuel which makes its ahead in alternative fuels list due to its simple installations’ requirements, costs involved and general environmental conditions for example for electricity generation from solar panels, wind-turbines and hydro powerplants.

Ecowelle and Biomass

Ecowelle R & D has been involved in working with UK local biomass fuel as crop farmers and were part of model farms to produce the sufficient fuel to provide the power and heating solutions to the commercial and residential buildings. There are many crops including Miscanthus that gives excellent carbon cycle making it.

There are large number of manufacturers for Combined Heating Power units and Boilers using variety of biomass fuels. Our experienced engineering professionals and manager are able to assess, review, analyse and propose suitable system for any industrial, commercial and residential needs throughout the UK, Europe, US and other parts of the works
